Pickup Day
How Same-Day Junk Car Pickup Works
The car needs to be gone today. Maybe the landlord gave you until tonight, the movers come in the morning, or you’ve just decided you are done with it.
With us, same-day pickup is often possible, but we can’t promise it. Whether it happens depends on the day’s schedule and on what you have ready. Here is how it works, what you can do to help, and what to do if the answer is no.

Short answer
Same-day pickup is often possible with us, but it’s never promised. Call (206) 941-0612, say you need it today, and have your paperwork, the car’s details and its exact location ready. We are open 7 days, 8 AM to 11 PM. If you have a hard deadline, tell us the time on the first call, and have a backup plan.
How it works, step by step
You call or send the form
A phone call at (206) 941-0612 is the direct route when you’re in a hurry. If you use the pickup form, you can attach up to 3 photos, and we call back within 4 hours.
We talk about the car
Year and model, condition, where it is, and which document you have. Our offers depend on five things: year and model, condition, demand for parts, weight and size, and towing distance.
We tell you what today looks like
We will say whether today can work, based on the schedule. Ask for the time window and ask what happens if it slips.
The truck comes
You hand over the paperwork and get paid in cash. Take your plates off before the truck leaves.
You file your Report of Sale
Do it the same day online, or within five business days at the latest.
Our how-it-works page has more detail.
What you can do to help
Some of this is out of your hands. You can’t control the schedule or traffic. You can control whether anything on your side holds things up:
| What you control | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Call as early in the day as you can | It leaves more of the day to work with. |
| Have your document in hand | A missing title can stop a same-day sale, whoever the buyer is. See our no-title page. |
| Be sure all owners can sign | A co-owner who is out of town can cost you the day. See two names on the title. |
| Check for a lender | If a lender is listed, it isn’t likely to be resolved today. See selling with a lien. |
| Give the exact location and access | Tell us about gates, garages and tight turns. See tight spots. |
| Mention the odd parts | Say if there are no keys, flat tires or missing parts, so the plan fits the car. |
| Be reachable and be there | We recommend you be present to hand over paperwork and get paid. |
| Be flexible | “Any time before 11 PM” gives us more room than “between 2 and 3”. |
If you are on a hard deadline
Say what the deadline is. “I need it gone by 6 PM because the lot manager is calling a tow” is more useful than “as soon as possible”. Then protect yourself:
- Talk to whoever set the deadline. Tell the manager, HOA or code officer that the car is booked, and ask for more time in writing. See apartment lots, HOA notices or a code violation notice.
- Street deadlines. If it’s parked on a street, the local rule matters. Seattle has a 72-hour rule, and Bellevue says a car over 24 hours on the same street could be impounded. See street tagging.
- Don’t drive an unsafe car to beat a deadline. That’s not worth it.
- If it gets towed first, find out where it went, and read this guide before you pay anything.
- Have a backup. Call a second buyer if you can’t be sure about today.
What not to skip because you are rushing
Same-day speed shouldn’t cost you your protections. Even on a fast pickup:
- Run a quick license check and ask the main questions.
- Read anything you sign. You can take the time you need.
- Empty the car. You won’t get a second chance. Here is what to take out.
- Don’t leave the buyer’s name blank on the title.
- Take your plates. DOL says you are legally obligated to.
- Get a receipt, and take photos of the signed paperwork.
If today does not work
It happens. If today can’t work, ask us for the next available time. Use the extra hours to get anything not yet ready in order, and go through how to get your car ready. A short delay also gives you time to get a second number, or to make a plan with your manager. You can reach us 7 days a week from 8 AM to 11 PM.
