Affidavit in Lieu of Title
A written statement that the title is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged. The owner’s signature must be notarized or certified by a vehicle licensing agent.
Affidavit of Loss/Release of Interest
Washington DOL accepts the Affidavit of Loss/Release of Interest when the title cannot be found. It also releases your interest in the vehicle you are selling.

A replacement title
DOL says a replacement title can take 4 to 8 weeks. For a junk car, the affidavit is usually the faster route. Call us and we will help you decide.

These guys are awesome. I had a car with a lost title. They walked me through the process at the dmv as well as did a same day pick up. The guys at the shop were helpful and nice. The driver that came and picked the car up was fast and knew exactly had to fill the paper work out and their pricing was fair for the car they were taking. I’ve been dealing with cars and junkers and mechanic specials my entire life and they made the process flawless. From the initial call to come get the car to pick up and payment was maybe 2 hours total and it really made the transaction easy. 10 out of 10 would recomend!
This was such an easy and stress-free experience! I just texted a photo of the title and within about an hour the car was towed away.
